UV Index:
Sun & Tan Timer

Personalized UV and burn-risk guidance for your time in the sun.

Overview

What it does

UV Index: Sun & Tan Timer reads the live UV index for your current location and translates it into guidance that fits you. Instead of a single number, you see what that UV level means for your skin at this moment in the day.

The app estimates your burn risk based on your Fitzpatrick skin type, so the same UV reading is interpreted differently for different people. As conditions change through the day, it highlights lower-risk windows — the times when UV is milder — and pairs them with plain, daily guidance on SPF and shade.

It is designed to be honest about sun exposure. The app does not promise a safe way to tan or a risk-free window; it gives you an informed estimate of burn risk so you can make your own decisions about time outdoors.
